Social Security  was born during Franklin Roosevelt’s Administration following the “great depression”. Civil Rights Legislation came out of John F. Kennedy’s leadership while the Voting Rights Act followed soon thereafter. Medicare was born out of LB Johnson’s Vietnam Era after an unpopular war where we took major troop losses

Health Care Reform was born under the leadership of President Barack Obama during a time when Republicans thrust the American people into a time of unrest with a war in Iraq, a failed economy and an emerging global  market. All these issues were born out of necessity.

History shows these historical issues came under the guidance of Democratic Leadership.  We are now immersed in the global markets and that forces us to spend lots of money in updating our way of doing business. Changes always costs no matter what. We cannot continue to do business as usual.

Yesterday’s vote in the US House of Representatives presented a major step in reform of our health care system.  A system that was already “failing”.

The so called “detached  threesome” struck once again at the democratic  agenda on health care reform. Representatives Kissell, McIntyre and Schuler threw their darts at the Democratic Party on the floor of the US House yesterday.

Although they did not hit the bullseye, they did miss out on one of the most historical moments in history. These guys just don’t get it. They are misguided and did not learn the art of being informed by doing their own homework.

When they came to democrats asking for a chance to change things for the consumers, we said “yes”. We as democrats did NOT do our homework . We did not ask these men what qualified them to act on our behalf.

Kissell,  McIntyre and Schuler, like their Republican counterparts,  are thriving off the very system they were opposing yesterday for the rest of us. They have “high-end medicare” insurance. They were lobbied very successfully by the insurance companies and pharmaceutical industry with plenty left over.

They get to retire living off the taxpayer. Who would want to give that up?

This “detached threesome” needs to be retired NOW!  They are NOT Democrats and certainly our interest is NOT their interest!

The “detached threesome”  by  totally disregarding the health needs of NC Seniors, have no intentions of making law that will justify their existence as US House members.
